Community Server Submissions and Ownership
Anyone may submit a cleaned server name and a publicly reachable Minecraft Java or Bedrock endpoint for a factual ownerless listing. FindMates may perform proportionate DNS, SRV, and public protocol checks and publish observed server data. Submission does not assert ownership or grant management rights.
Only the owner or an authorised representative may claim, edit, promote, or view owner analytics for the listing after a successful MOTD proof. An owner may contact support to request claim review or removal. Unclaimed listings have limited features and may be hidden automatically when monitoring no longer succeeds.
Agreement and Operator
FindMates is owned and operated by 8BIT CLOUD SYSTEMS SRL, with its registered correspondence address at Bucharest, Sector 2, 158 Calea Moșilor, Module 393, Room 4, 4th Floor, Romania. This address accepts postal correspondence and is not a walk-in support location.
By creating an account, accepting a new version of these terms, or continuing to use FindMates after a valid notice of non-material changes, you agree to these Terms of Use and the policies linked from this page. If you do not agree, do not use FindMates.
Eligibility and Legal Capacity
You must be at least 16 years old. We may validate your date of birth and restrict self-service changes to it.
If you are under 18, you confirm that you may enter into the relevant agreement under the law that applies to you and that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian where permission is required. This statement does not remove any protection or capacity rule that the law gives you.
- Provide accurate account information and keep access credentials secure.
- Do not impersonate another person, company, team, creator, game publisher, or server.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
What FindMates Provides
FindMates provides gaming profiles, discovery, friendships, messaging, integrations, public game and server directories, ratings, server voting integrations, analytics, and optional paid features. Features may be experimental, limited by region or game, changed, suspended, or discontinued where reasonably necessary.
FindMates is not a game publisher, server host, internet provider, escrow service, or party to transactions, donations, subscriptions, rules, bans, or disputes that occur on a third-party game server or its linked website or community.
Third-Party Game Server Listings
Server pages contain information supplied by server owners, information observed automatically from public server endpoints, and community signals. A technical ownership check shows control of a verification method at that time; it does not verify identity, security, legal compliance, affiliation, staff conduct, or service quality.
You connect to any listed server and follow any external website or Discord link at your own risk. Review the server's own rules, privacy information, age requirements, software requirements, and purchase terms before interacting with it.
- We do not inspect server software, mods, plugins, chats, files, staff, economies, stores, or player conduct.
- We do not guarantee that a server is safe, suitable, lawful, online, correctly described, or compatible with your game client.
- FindMates does not endorse a server merely because it is listed, verified, featured, highly rated, or popular.
Server Status, Player Counts, and Accuracy
Online status, player count, capacity, latency, version, map, MOTD, and similar fields are point-in-time technical observations. They can be delayed, unavailable, inaccurate, cached, manipulated by a server, or affected by network and provider conditions.
Server owners remain responsible for owner-supplied descriptions, media, links, features, capacity, regions, versions, and other claims. FindMates may correct, label, restrict, or remove information but is not required to pre-approve every listing.
Acceptable Use
- Do not harass, threaten, exploit, groom, stalk, dox, or target another person.
- Do not publish illegal, hateful, sexually exploitative, terrorist, fraudulent, violent, or abusive material.
- Do not upload malware, phishing material, stolen credentials, infringing content, or instructions intended to compromise users or systems.
- Do not spam, scrape in breach of our technical controls, reverse engineer, overload, disrupt, or bypass access restrictions.
- Do not manipulate ratings, votes, player counts, ranking, advertising, billing, promotions, reports, or moderation systems.
- Do not use FindMates to facilitate piracy, bypass game authentication or licensing, or falsely claim publisher approval.
Your Content and Licence
You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant FindMates a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, cache, reproduce, format, resize, transmit, index, display, moderate, and make technical adaptations to that content solely to operate, secure, explain, and promote the relevant FindMates feature or listing.
The licence ends when the content is deleted from active systems, except for reasonable backup, security, legal-compliance, dispute, and search-cache periods. You warrant that you have all permissions necessary for the content and that our permitted use will not violate another person's rights.
Integrations and External Services
Steam, Discord, OpenDota, Stripe, game publishers, server hosts, linked sites, and other providers are independent services with their own terms and privacy practices. Their APIs, data, accounts, and availability may change or fail.
Where a Minecraft server enables Votifier rewards, a submitted in-game name and the network address associated with the vote may be sent to that server. FindMates cannot guarantee that the server grants a reward or how the independent server operator handles data after receiving it.
FMP, Server Boost, and Billing
Prices, billing period, renewal, currency, and the final amount are shown before confirmation in Stripe checkout. Paid access may start immediately when requested. You can manage renewal using available billing controls.
Server Boost is a paid Featured placement service for eligible server listings. It does not guarantee impressions, clicks, votes, players, purchases, revenue, retention, ranking outside the paid placement rules, or any other commercial result.
If an eligible Server Boost placement is not provided because of a verified FindMates failure, support may issue a proportional refund for the affected Server Boost line item and verified unavailable time as described in the Refund Policy. Mandatory remedies under applicable law are not limited by that policy.
Moderation, Notices, and Appeals
We may investigate, restrict visibility, remove content, archive or suspend a listing, disable features, or suspend or terminate an account when reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect users or systems, respond to a sufficiently substantiated notice, or comply with law.
Where required, we will provide the affected user with a clear reason and available appeal options. Reports must be submitted in good faith. Knowingly abusive, fraudulent, or repetitive reports may themselves violate these terms.
Availability and Disclaimers
FindMates is provided on an as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not make implied guarantees of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, security of third-party servers, accuracy of external data, successful matchmaking, or continued availability of every feature.
Nothing in these terms excludes warranties, remedies, or obligations that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FindMates and its operator are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or unforeseeable consequential loss, lost profits, lost opportunity, loss caused by an independent server or external service, or a server owner's failure to achieve expected results.
For a business user's claim concerning failure of a paid Server Boost placement, the contractual monetary remedy is limited to the proportional amount paid for the affected Server Boost line item and verified unavailable portion of its billing period, unless mandatory law requires more.
These limits do not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, liability that cannot be excluded for death or personal injury, mandatory consumer remedies, data-protection liability, or any other liability that applicable law prohibits us from limiting.
Business Server Owners
If you use FindMates for a company or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it. To the extent permitted by law, the organisation is responsible for claims arising from its server, content, store, staff, data practices, infringement, or breach of these terms. This provision does not apply where consumer law prohibits it.
Account and Service Termination
You may stop using FindMates and use available account controls. Deactivation and deletion have different effects. We may retain limited records where necessary for billing, fraud prevention, security, legal claims, content notices, and compliance.
A server archive is reversible and retains its content and attached media. Account deletion may require server ownership, content, votes, and media to be anonymised, detached, archived, or deleted under the Privacy Policy.
Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by Romanian law. Courts in Romania have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to use another court or another country's mandatory protections.
Before starting formal proceedings, contact support so we can try to resolve the issue. Eligible consumers may also use the Romanian consumer authority's alternative dispute resolution process.
