These rules keep FindMates safe, fair, and welcoming for every player. They apply to everyone, everywhere on the platform.

Overview

These Community Rules apply to everyone who uses FindMates, across profiles, chat, game listings, friendships, integrations, and every other part of the service.

By using FindMates you agree to follow these rules. They work together with our Terms of Use. When a rule is broken, we may remove content, limit features, or suspend or permanently ban the accounts involved.

Respect and Zero Harassment

Treat other players the way you would want to be treated. FindMates is a place to find teammates, not to attack them.

  • Do not harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or intimidate anyone.
  • Do not use hate speech or discriminate against people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
  • Do not use slurs, dehumanizing language, or targeted insults.
  • Do not organize or take part in pile-ons, brigading, or group harassment.

No Politics or Divisive Agendas

FindMates is about gaming and community, not political or ideological conflict.

  • Do not campaign for or against political parties, candidates, or movements.
  • Do not spread political or religious propaganda or extremist content.
  • Do not use the platform to provoke, recruit, or push divisive agendas.
  • Respectful personal conversation is fine; using FindMates as a soapbox or battleground is not.

No Cheating or Cheat Promotion

Fair play is the core of a good gaming community. We do not allow cheating or anything that helps others cheat.

  • Do not promote, advertise, sell, share, or link cheats, hacks, exploits, aimbots, wallhacks, injectors, or similar tools.
  • Do not offer or advertise paid boosting, rank manipulation, or account selling that violates a game's terms of service.
  • Do not encourage, teach, or recruit others to cheat.
  • Do not use FindMates to distribute modified clients or tools designed to gain an unfair advantage.

No Spam or Unsolicited Advertising

Keep FindMates useful by not flooding it with noise or unwanted promotion.

  • Do not spam messages, listings, requests, or repeated identical content.
  • Do not send mass unsolicited advertising or promotions.
  • Do not run scams, phishing, or deceptive schemes.
  • Do not use referral farming, link farming, or aggressive repetitive self-promotion.

Authentic Identity and Fair Play

Be yourself and interact honestly. Manipulation breaks trust for everyone.

  • Do not impersonate other people, creators, teams, staff, or brands.
  • Do not create fake profiles or misrepresent who you are.
  • Do not manipulate stats, reviews, reputation, or matchmaking.
  • Do not abuse multiple accounts, and do not evade bans or blocks.

No Illegal or Harmful Content

Some content is never allowed, regardless of context.

  • We have zero tolerance for any sexual content involving minors, and we report it to the appropriate authorities.
  • Do not post illegal content or content that promotes serious harm.
  • Do not share pornographic or NSFW content where it is not allowed.
  • Do not post gore, graphic violence, or content that glorifies or encourages self-harm.
  • Do not share malware, pirated material, or content that infringes someone else's rights.

Chat and Media Conduct

The same rules apply in private chats, uploads, and shared links as everywhere else on FindMates.

  • Do not send unsolicited explicit or disturbing media.
  • Do not use chat or uploads to harass, threaten, or expose others.
  • Make sure the links and media you share are safe and follow these rules.
  • Do not use messages to distribute prohibited content or spam.

Privacy and Safety

Protect other players' privacy, and be careful with your own.

  • Do not share anyone's private or personal information without their consent (doxxing).
  • Do not repost or leak private conversations to harass or pressure someone.
  • Think carefully about the personal details you share publicly on your profile or in chat.
  • If you feel unsafe, use the blocking and reporting tools and contact support.

Minors and Age Safety

You must be at least 16 years old to use FindMates.

  • Do not sexualize, exploit, or endanger minors in any way.
  • Do not attempt to contact minors for inappropriate purposes.
  • Report any grooming, exploitation, or unsafe behavior toward minors immediately.

Game Data and Integrations

Connected accounts and statistics are meant to help you find teammates, not to mislead or track people.

  • Do not fake or misrepresent your game statistics or achievements.
  • Do not use integrations or profile data to stalk, track, or harass others.
  • Respect the terms of service of connected platforms such as Steam, Discord, and game publishers.

Reporting and Enforcement

Help us keep FindMates healthy by reporting problems, and understand how we respond.

If you believe an action was a mistake, you can contact us to ask for a review.

  • Use the report and block tools when you see rule-breaking behavior.
  • Depending on severity, we may warn, remove content, restrict features, suspend, or permanently ban accounts.
  • Repeated or serious violations lead to stronger action, including permanent removal.
  • We may cooperate with law enforcement where the law requires it.
